From an early age Mike Douglass had always had an interest in extreme sports and started out riding and racing BMX. He developed a passion for all things related with extreme sports & motorsports and knew he wanted to be involved in the industry in some way.
He came up with the initial concept for ExtremeSponsors.com in 2000 when looking for a way to streamline the ‘sponsorship’ process. Ask any serious athlete what their goal is in their career and they will say ‘sponsorship’. At the time to find a sponsorship deal usually meant being in the right place at the right time, spending hours creating a rider CV and posting hundreds of letters out to potential sponsors. Women in Action Sports (WIAS), a business organization dedicated to professional female athletes and business entrepreneurs in the Action Sports industry will host its first event at the Swiv Tackle Circus Gallery in Oceanside on April 22, 2009 from 7 to 9:30pm.

For the first time in history Brazil will receive two world tour events sequentially.
The Katherine Melo will open the Brazilian leg in April 21st and then the Bahia Bodyboarding Show will take the world best competitors to the north of Brazil.
