The final day of Cobra D’Ãgua Bodyboarding Show Bahia 2009 took place in better conditions than yesterday, but the wind and rain made life difficult for the riders. The waves were bigger than yesterday (3-4 ft) and the crowd filled Armação Beach.
Guilherme Tâmega and Eunate Aguirre won the event and now both are leading the IBA World Ranking. Guilherme defeated Eder Luciano from Brazil while Eunate defeated Mayllae Venturin.

On Friday the conditions were worst than previous days due to the strong onshore wind that blowing during the entire day in Armação Beach. The waves were smaller than yesterday and the riders found conditions to be difficult.

The 2009 Sport Chalet US Open of Bodyboarding is just around the corner and it will be held between 23-25th May.
This year Bodyboarding will host it’s own US open to crown it’s champion on the historical Huntington Beach Shores.
The USBA is looking forward to kicking off the 2009 Bodyglove USBA Grand Slam tour at the Sport Chalet US Open.

The 2nd and last day of the 10th Annual 4A Wimpy/Rossi Pro Am got underway early morning in cold and wet weather on Margate Beach.
The wave conditions weren’t as good as yesterday but are still very contestable. Contest director Wayne Beekman has decided to postpone the finals after all the semis were run to wait for the higher tide when the inside is expected to fire up again. The 1st Final to hit the water will be the Ladies at 2:30pm.
