Up-and-coming riders from across the globe descended upon Mt. Hood Meadows ski area in Oregon this past weekend as the third U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour took place featuring snowboardcross, halfpipe and slopestyle competitions.
Mt. Hood Meadows put on a great Revolution Tour event this weekend! The venues were once again outstanding and we saw some great riding from all of the athletes,” U.S. Snowboarding Program Manager Abbi Nyberg said. “It is good to see so many up and coming riders and some new faces on the podium.”

There is a lot of wintertime fun to be had living where we do. Outdoor sports and activities are a large part of what gets may of us through the long, chilly winter. However, there are people out there who take their enjoyment to another entirely different level.
These people are among those featured in the action sports-oriented films of the Banff Mountain Film Festival. The festival will be landing at the Grand in Ellsworth for a weekend-long run this Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15, before coming to Bangor the day after, hosted by Epic Sports.

With just one race left in the United States Collegiate Skiing and Snowboarding Associationâ€™s season, the Sierra Nevada College snowboard team is getting prepared for nationals.
They finished off the regular season last weekend with a romp over their USCSA Northern California foes â€” placing first in all four giant slalom races at Squaw Valley USA.
â€œOur guys are strong and feeling excited going into nationals,â€ said coach Jeff Corrado. â€œI think weâ€™re pretty strong in all areas and have a lot of talented guys who are disciplined.â€
