Danny Davis teams up with Mountain Dew and Burton to build a pipe / park hybrid like you’ve never seen before. A transition monster, a skate park for snowboarding – call it what you will, it’s a pipe dream realized.
On the other side of the world, Burton’s Tokyo Rail Days went down over the weekend in front of a large crowd that showcased some of the most progressive jibbing around. With a tough field of competitors including Forest Bailey, Jonah Owen and Burton riders Ethan Deiss, Zak Hale and Mark Sollors, whoever came away with a win here definitely deserved it. To alleviate any judging disputes, legendary freestyler Jeremy Jones was brought in to help judge. Heavy tricks were going down, just in qualifying round, and the finals saw even heavier tricks with higher consequences from riders looking to take home the top spot. By showing consistent, technical riding all night long, Forest Bailey was awarded the $15,000 first place prize, followed closely by the British Bulldog, Jamie Nicholls and recent Rome pro, Jonah Owen.
Finals Results:
1. Forest Bailey
2. Jamie Nicholls
3. Jonah Owen
4. Brandon Hobush
5. Dominik Wagner
6. Zak Hale
