A Dying Breed is a documentary about the dwindling group of professional ski BASE jumpers through the lens of Matthias Giraud. Soon-to-be father and professional ski BASE jumper Matthias Giraud, suffers a near fatal accident in the French Alps, leaving him in a coma for three days with brain hemorrhaging and a broken femur — all of this just weeks before the birth of his first child. A Dying Breed is an inside look into the emotionally conflicting world of ski BASE jumping with never before seen crash footage and interviews.
