Squaw Valley USA, which needs to hire 800 seasonal workers for the winter, will hold its annual job fair Nov. 7.
Squaw Valley’s winter job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Olympic Village Lodge, located past the old fire station, at the base of the resort.
The year-round resort is located five miles north of Lake Tahoe along the Truckee River on Highway 89.
Department managers will be at the job fair to interview prospective employees, and in many instances will offer jobs on the spot, a news release said…Â Details

Snow began falling at Kirkwood Mountain Resort yesterday, with the snow level right below the resort’s base elevation of just under 8,000 feet.
With the forecast calling for as much as two to three feet in the next 24-48 hours, Kirkwood stands ready to open with enough natural snow, according to the ski resort. The resort’s top elevation is 9,880’, and with an average snowfall over the past 10 years of over 550â€, … Details
