Lindsey Vonn clinched her third discipline title in three days with a super-G victory Sunday to wrap up a memorable weekend of racing for the American.
Vonn took the super-combined and downhill titles the past two days and has moved within 96 points of German rival and good friend Maria Riesch in the overall standings with six races remaining this season.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Pat Quinn pushed his back foot into the tail of his Ralston snowskate. The lower ski flexed on the hinge of the truck and the board, known as a “bi-deck,†popped into the air. He turned sideways, setting down smoothly onto the double-barreled down rail in Sierra-at-Tahoe’s Alley Park, a feature even snowboarders with bindings were having a hard time jumping onto.

Lake Tahoe, CA – Alpine Meadows Ski Resort has sounded the competition alarm by announcing the Take the lake Triple Jump Line Competition, set for Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20. Take the Lake hosts some of the country’s top amateur and pro-am skiers and snowboarders – and this year’s competitors can expect a triple jump line judged by some of the industry’s most sought-after judges. A $15,000 purse is on the line; and the top finishers of both the ski and snowboard divisions will walk with the winnings. With event partners including Remax, and Microsoft Licensing GP, Take the Lake offers the largest freestyle prize purse at Lake Tahoe.
