Recently created by Archivirus Architecture and Design, the Ramp House is a response to the client’s request for a “skatable habitat”.

Surfing – Vaccines offered for uninsured surfers

Signs frequently posted in Imperial Beach warning of contaminated water off the coast don’t always keep surfers at bay, particularly when a tempting winter swell sweeps in.

That’s why a team of researchers, environmental activists and health professionals have partnered to organize “Sick from the Surf,” an initiative providing 1,200 free Hepatitis A vaccines for uninsured Imperial Beach water-goers, including swimmers and seashore fishermen.

Skateboard M. Bike – Gordo the skateboarding & Mt. Biking parrot stolen from his cage

An exotic icon known throughout Baldwin Park as the skateboarding parrot has gone missing.

The bird-napping occurred about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as Gordo – a green Malaysian parrot from Guatemala – played in his cage on the front porch of his owner’s Bess Street home.

“My mother was at home and she heard somebody trying to break into the cage,” said Fred Mireles. “When she went out there, the guy was already (running away).” …
