Skateboard – Skateboard contest is set for Saturday in Newbury Park

Conejo Recreation and Park District will host a skateboard competition from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., May 30 at the Borchard Community Center Skate Park, 190 Reino Road, Newbury Park.

The event will have live music, games, prizes and giveaways.

Contestants must register in person at the Borchard Community Center.

Registration fee is $5 for each division per person.

Divisions are ages 10 and under, ages 11 to 15, ages 16 and older/sponsored, and two best trick rounds.

Bodyboard – The US Open of Bodyboarding heads to Huntington Beach

Sport Chalet and the United States Bodyboard Association (USBA) are kicking off the 2009 Bodyglove USBA Grand Slam Tour at the Sport Chalet U.S. Open of Bodyboarding in Huntington Beach, California, on May 23rd.

Sport Chalet was a sponsor in the 2008 USBA tour and continues to ride the waves this year with the USBA. 

Bodyboarding fans are invited to meet some of the world’s best riders including Dave and Jeff Hubbard, Jonah and Jacob Romero, Spencer Skipper, Jason Bitzer, Eddie Solomon, Ross McBride, Jeremy Wright and many more at a kick-off autograph signing event on May 22nd, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Huntington Beach Sport Chalet, located at 16242 Beach Boulevard…  Details
