Bodyboarding in Western Australia is currently a buzz with the final EBB State Series event to culminate this weekend in the Yallingup area. Extra excitement is building with some of Australia’s top riders making their way to WA to compete in the fifth Australian bodyboard tour event, the EBB Pro. WA’s premiere bodyboarding event, is boasting a two star pro men’s division and a two star men’s drop knee division that will see a total of five thousand dollars prize money up for grabs.
Surfing WA Events Manager Justin Majeks commented on the importance of the EBB State Series and the EBB Pro. “This is a crucial event not only for the WA guys who are surfing for spots at the upcoming National Titles, but also the guys here chasing the prize money and ratings points on the IBA Tour.â€Â  … Details
After four very succesful rounds of the 2009 Irish Slalom Series, Ireland’s top windsurfers will travel west for the final opportunity to battle it out for the 2009 National titles.
The event will take place on Silver Strand beach. Fleets for all levels will be run with plenty of free coaching and the buddy system.

The 2009 SCION Jenks is set to start this week with day one of the waiting period starting September first. A check in for the USBA athletes was held today August 31st at 7pm at Jenkinson’s Inlet Bar and Restaurant.
