Mission Viejo resident Mike Hirsch has taken his lifelong love of skateboarding and turned it into a career, first as a professional-amateur skater, and next as the successful operator of a skate park directory and store owner.
His shop, SoCal SkateShop, has been opened since summer in Mission Viejo. Hirsch prides himself on running a skateboard shop made for wary beginners and skilled veterans alike.

The AWA windsport festival got underway last Sunday. The day started off with the promise of 15-20 knots from the SW from metservice.
