It was Britain’s Olympic windsurfing bronze medallist Bryony Shaw who put in the most consistent performance on day 2 of the Princesa Sofia Regatta, an ISAF Sailing World Cup event, in Palma. In taking the overall lead on aggregate after 4 races in the RS:X women’s fleet in Palma, she has proved that she can get the better of the world beating Spanish dream team of Marina Alabau and Blanca Manchon on their home waters.

The first round of the Irish Slalom Series was completed at Newtownards Sailing Club last weekend (March 27th – 28th 2010).

The overall event win went to bigsurf.ie team rider Pearse Geaney (MauiSails / RRD), who sailed consistently in winds gusting up to 30 knots using his 9.2m and 7.6m TR6-XT.
