the weekend of 29/30 May was the last one for the standby period set for the 2010 Auckland Freestyle Champs. The AWA end of season prize-giving party was also on for Sat 29 May. So this was the last chance to run the comp in time to hand out the trophy at the party. After two “no-go’s” the previous weekends where the forecast didn’t hold what it promised we decided to try it again. Third time lucky!

The kick off for the first event is even more important to U.S. riders as it is also the first stop of the U.S. Monster Energy WWA Triple Crown. This event will kick off two great series at Texas Ski Ranch this weekend. If Tom Fooshee (2008 & 09 Series Champion) hopes to continue his reign on top of the tour standings he will have to ride his best. The 2010 PKRA Fuerteventura Kiteboarding Super Grand Slam will be without a doubt a memorable event.

This year Fuerteventura will be celebrating 25 years of hosting World Cup events, which dates back to 1986 with the PBA Windsurfing World Cup.
