Morgan Owens breaking the speed limit down an open highway, extremely deep in the mountains of Northern California.
During the 2018 Mt. Shasta Spliff N Wesson, which Morgan hosted, we actually raced a section of this road. After the outlaw event was over, I offered to film Morgan down the entire highway. Of course he sent it. Actually, the first time he ever even stood on that skateboard, he just pushed off down the hill for this run like no big deal. Anyone else love skating mini ramps? Here’s Brad McClain, Ben Hatchell, Landon Belcher, Vincent Luevanos, and Andy Anderson enjoying the transitions at Buckshot Vapors, Brooklyn Projects, and Nate Hopewell’s.
Small waves make for skatepark like conditions for skimboarding. When the waves are often times too small to surf, I tend to have a lot more fun on my skimboard. You are not relying on the power of the wave for speed like you are in surfing, when skimboarding you can generate your own speed based on how fast you are able to run. This allows you to use the small waves as ramps like you would on a skateboard. Skylar Wilson, Sam Stinnett, and Blair Conklin skim a miniature wedge in South Laguna.
