There is no shortage of adrenaline in winter sports. From snowboarding to downhill skiing, many athletes take their lives into their hands. However this motorcyclist ups the ante on risk-taking as he rides along the super narrow ridge of one of the Bookliff Mountains. The rider is Chris “Gorpo†McMahan and his extreme skill and bravery along the ridge of this Colorado range is helped out by the custom studs made from sheet metal screws that he added to the knobbies on his wheels for traction. Harley-Davidson Motor Company is pleased to announce that it has worked with NHRA to include the popular nitromethane-burning Pro Dragster class in the newly formed NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series.
Pro Dragster joins the previously announced classes that will compete at all 10 rounds of the series: Top Fuel, Pro Gas, Draggin’ Bagger, Street Pro and Hot Street. The NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series begins in March at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston.

Jason Anderson entered the pro ranks as his graduating class’ Horizon Award winner. This award goes to the amateur rider with the most potential to succeed as a professional. Anderson had a break out year in 2012 and is continuing to improve in 2013. Look for him to find his way to the podium several times this year!
