Portugal played host for the Extreme XL de Lagares, where the best hard enduro athletes traversed through the city of Porto, across technical rock gardens, and forest depths of Lagares to battle it out for top spot on the podium. Alfredo Gomez inched ahead of team-mate and three-time-winner, Graham Jarvis to end a tough year on an amazing high.
