Motorcycle Champs Will Return Again For 2009 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb And So Is Super Stock Car Legend Clint Vahsholtz.

Colorado Springs, February 7, 2009—Motorcyle racing at the 87th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 19 in Colorado Springs is some of the legendary event’s most exciting stuff for the thousands of fans who will jam spaces along the road to the summit of the 14,000-foot peak.

And so it will be again for 2007 Champion and 2008 runnerup Mike Ell of Raymore, Missouri, who will be back again on his Yamaha Banshee in the Motorcycle Quad 500 Class to seek the top spot in the rarified air on Pikes Peak…  More info

In Denver, the motorcycle graveyard is located just west off Santa Fe Blvd. at Union. It is called Steele’s Cycles. The address is 2025 W. Union Ave.

Steele’s sells a bit of everything. Their showroom holds about 80 bikes of all sorts, from cruisers to dirt bikes with a good share of sport bikes. Accessories and other parts are stored inside as well, and then there is the outside.

Michelin has announced its participation in three motorcycle speedway racing competitions in 2009. It will take part in the Endurance World Championship as well as in national speed championships in Spain and Italy.

This year, Michelin will provide tires for the Yamaha Austria Racing Team, which finished second over all in the six-race 2008 Endurance World Championship. The partnership will enable Michelin to measures its tires against its competitors’ products…  More info
