The 2012 Red Bull Romaniacs Enduro Rally, four grueling days of off-road motorcycle racing through the Romanian mountains, is not for the faint of heart…even if amateur competitors do occasionally stop to take a picture mid-race to commemorate the occasion. The Pros are all business though, negotiating fallen trees, rocks, mud, and steep hill climbs and descents. Two days into the 2012 rally, Husaberg Rider Graham Jarvis is holding steady at the top of the timesheet. MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (June 16, 2012) – Southern Maryland’s Budds Creek MX Park hosted the fifth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, on Saturday, as each of the series’ points leaders added to his respective championship advantage. Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., raced to his third consecutive 450 Class win with a third straight 1-1 moto sweep. In the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett, of Grand Terrace, Calif., secured his second victory of the season thanks to a triumphant effort in the second moto.

With the clock pushing forward, area qualifiers are upon our 7 athletes. On the East Coast, training partners Anthony Rodriguez and Dakota Alix prepare for racing at Millsaps Training Facility and recognize that their biggest competition this season could be each other. Meanwhile, Christina Older continues to help push the progression of Women’s motocross as she follows in the footsteps of long time idol Ashley Fiolek. With championship dreams ahead, our athletes continue down the long and grueling Road to Loretta’s.
Round two of the 2012 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship, presented by Lucas Oil made a first ever stop to Northern California with KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak finding his way back to the top of the podium. He was joined by Monster Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert and GEICO Honda’s Kevin Rookstool. Husqvarna’s Cory Graffunder made a last second pass on Mike Brown to take forth while Brown held onto fifth.
