European FMX legend Tom Pagès has seen the highs and lows of freestyle motocross more than most. Within the first two years of his FMX career, Tom and his brother Charles had gone from riding in their backyard to appearing before the entire world at X Games and X-Fighters events. The two brothers were among the very first riders to land the incredible frontflip on motocross bike, as well as attempt various other ground-breaking tricks.
They were considered some of the world’s best FMX riders, a position that most aspiring freestyle motocross athletes can only dream of achieving.Unfortunately Tom had lost sight of the true meaning of riding, and in the following few years chose to take a step back from the spotlight and mainstream competitions. He simply wanted to enjoy riding again and focus on the things really mattered.
Canada’s Hottest Beach Festival returns to Kelowna this August long weekend. The Wet Ape team is excited for a massive year in 2011, with world class sports and the biggest names in music scheduled to perform this is the biggest year in Center of Gravity history. Center of Gravity will feature 5 sports: Pro Beach Volleyball, Freestyle Mountain Biking, FMX, Wakeboarding, and Basketball. As well as Bud Light Lime Beverage Gardens, Bikini contests, DJ Shows, and After Parties each night. It all takes place on Hot Sands beach along the beautiful Okanagan Lake on one of the hottest weekends of the summer!
