Ben King (North Garden, Va./Trek-Livestrong) became the first U23 to win the USA Cycling Professional Road Race national title while his teammate, fellow development program rider Taylor Phinney (Boulder, Colo./Trek-Livestrong) took the USA Cycling Professional Time Trial national title a day earlier. Taylor Phinney (Boulder, Colo./Trek-Livestrong) became only the second athlete to win a USA Cycling professional time trial championship national title on Saturday. In what was the most exciting finish in the five year history of this event, Phinney edged Levi Leipheimer (Santa Rosa, Calif./Team RadioShack) by only 14 hundredths of a second.Â
“This is probably one of the biggest wins of my career,†stated Phinney after the finish. “I get to wear the jersey for the next full year – my first as a pro.â€Â

In 2001, Brendt Barbur, Founder and Director, was compelled to start the Bicycle Film Festival after being hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City. Instead of being deterred by this experience, it inspired him to create a festival that celebrates the bicycle through music, art, and film. Now in its tenth year the festival is held in 37 cities worldwide. 300,000 people are expected to attend this year. Â
