For a lot of people, winter means ski season. The skis come out and and bikes are stored in a cold garage waiting for it to be summer again. We, however, think it’s a bit sad that our faithful companions are put aside just because the trails are covered in snow. We love winter laps and we love snowy sessions on home trails. The “royal league” of motorbike sports met the supreme discipline of winter sports. The legendary Hahnenkamm race, the toughest contest in skiing’s world cup, is to take place this weekend. Triple world champion Marc Márquez became the first man to take on a snowy Alpine mountain summit on a MotoGP bike! It was just a few hundred metres above this extreme section, on the “Ehrenbachhöhe” on the Hahnenkamm mountain, where Marc Márquez pulled off his thrilling MotoGP display before the big ski race. There is no greater expert when it comes to speeding around the tarmac of a racing circuit, of course, and when it came to riding on the snow, the 23-year-old superstar had two real pros by his side. Austrian ice speedway legend Franky Zorn, no less, fitted the racing bike with some proper spikes. By becoming the first MotoGP driver to take a racing bike over the summit of a mountain in the Alps, Marc Márquez followed in the tracks of Max Verstappen, who put on the first Formula 1 show run in the Alps in the same spot last year.
This year Jesse focused his energy towards making his first urban Full Part. Spending the first 2 months of 2016 putting in work in the European Alps and getting results. Back in Australia it was the good old injury story restricting the same level, that Europe showed, of stacking footy.
