Who Is Pepper? Episode 5 jumps into the life of Mikey Rencz. Coming out of Squamish, BC, Mikey has been a full time snowboarder since the age of seven. From pondering the halfpipe during ski club lunches to devouring the backcountry as one of the veterans in the Pepper crew, take a look at Mikey’s career and how showing Whistler off to the rest of the roster while filming for Pepper stacks up against the rest of his resume.
We set out in December to travel to new places, not repeating ourselves. From Canada to Iceland to Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, and Japan. Those travels were to special to our personal lives to not somehow include it in the movie. So besides video parts, we also made travel parts that we never poster online before.

From the small town of Akureyri, Iceland to now, part one of The History of Halldor Helgason dives into the beginnings of one of the most interesting characters in snowboarding. From young influences to spots that Halldor and his brother Eiki have made famous in their own exploits, join the youngest Helgason on his family’s potato farm as he takes us on a tour with a trip down memory lane. His memory lane just happens to be radder than most.
For part two of two, Halldor walks us through his competition pedigree, the ice rink where he and his brother honed in their style and skill, as well as his latest adventures with the Lobster team. Enjoy!
