Lindsey Vonn won a World Cup super-combined race Friday for her 25th career victory after taking advantage of her speed skills in the French Alps.
The American, who led by a massive 1.52 seconds after the downhill, overcame poor visibility in the slalom run to hold off the technical specialists. Lindsey Vonn posted the best time in downhill training for the second consecutive day on Thursday, making her the favorite going into the World Cup events scheduled for the French Alps this weekend.
The American dominated on the Oreiller-Killy course for the second straight day, finishing in 1 minute, 44.67 seconds. She was 0.22 seconds ahead of Austria’s Elisabeth Goergl.

To those who follow competitive snowboarding, Bud Keene is a familiar name. Going on 20 years of coaching experience, Keene has a knack for plucking the right riders and helping them maximize their talent. From 1990-2002, Keene coached the Mount Mansfield Ski Club Snowboard Team, building up the skills of young riders, many who went on to make a serious impact — Kyle Clancy, Jake Blauvelt, Travis Kennedy, Colin Langlois, Zach Leach, Jeff Kramer and even Cole Barash are all MMSC alums. In 2002, Keene was invited to coach the Salt Lake City Olympic Halfpipe forerunners, and by 2006 he was the Head Coach of the US Olympic Halfpipe Team, a group of riders that took home four medals between men and women …Â Details
