The snow scene in Tahoe is winding down, but for late-season skiers and snowboarders some resorts will remain open through May, if weather and conditions hold. Resort websites report that it snowed Wednesday, and about 2 to 4 inches of fresh snow have fallen.

Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe closed last Sunday; Sugar Bowl, Heavenly Mountain Resort and Kirkwood are open daily until they close for the season Sunday, April 25  …  Details

Bode Miller says what he hears from the U.S. Ski Team will play a big role as he decides whether to retire.

The 32-year-old Miller says many of the issues that prompted him to start his own team two years ago hadn’t changed when he returned to the U.S. team in the run-up to Vancouver.
