Bear, Summit, and Mammoth opening 2014/15
We highlight Andrew Weibrecht’s journey down the mountain. Growing in Lake Placid the site of the 1980 winter olympics he was exposed to downhill skiing at an early age and later on, he was inspired by greats such as Daron Rahlves. His break out run at “Birds of Prey” at Beaver Creek in 2007 was just the beginning of an individual pursuit of speed that includes two olympic medals.
Hungry riders from all over New England flocked to Loon Mountain for the annual season kick-off rail jam, held under-the-lights. In the end, Jed Sky took home the overall victory and Ryan Kittredge stunned the crowd with his Miller Flip on the Oakley O – taking home Best Trick honors.
