There’s probably going to be some bragging and trash talk tonight between the two American star riders on team RadioShack because Levi Leipheimer, not only won the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race today, but also smashed Lance Armstrong’s time from last year by 12 minutes.
Leipheimer, in his mountain bike race, crossed the finish line in 6 hours, 16 minutes, 37 seconds in Leadville, Colorado.
The bicycle at a Kentucky yard sale had two flat tires, broken pedals and carried a $5 price tag. That didn’t stop Greg Estes from buying the bike in hopes of flipping it for a small profit. He should get his wish, to the tune of a few thousand dollars.
