Just outside the door of Himalayan Singletrack, I could hear the sounds of honking, foreign languages, ethnic music, and the hustle and bustle on the chaotic streets of Thamel, the tourist region in Kathmandu, Nepal. This grant would help develop a bike park on a 1.4-acre site located in Elm Creek Park Reserve in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. The proposed bike park would be located at the trail-head area of this system and is scheduled to include a tot-lot, practice track, pump-track, dirt jumps, and an area for technical skill features.
This year’s edition of the Vienna Air King was without a doubt the biggest and most successful in the history of the event. Despite a slight chill, there were stable weather conditions and the massive dirt jump course built on Vienna’s “Rathausplatz” was ridable throughout the competition.
