At the end of last year I went to Whistler with my girlfriend just for a riding holiday! While I was there I bumped into Bas, we did a couple of runs, I followed him down Dirt Merchant, fun to watch him playing around on the track!
Any mountain bike racer will tell you that they get their kicks from competing. The suspense before, the rush of adrenaline during and the relief at the finish. Over the years Bas has developed a routine, the ultimate unwind from the racing season turning his goals from winning to enjoying the simplicities of riding his bike with good company.
