Most of the time found behind the camera, Louis Lhomel sometimes switches the roles around and jumps in front of it in the most natural ways there is. Blame it on Covid, everyone was stuck home most of the year so far, but luckily Louis had just moved to a new spot in Montreal with a freshly built skatepark about 5 minutes away.
While shredding the new park regularly, Louis linked up with Montreal BMX rider and cinematographer Lukas Adam Chassé and they decided to work on this part together. Lukas is a BMX mogul in Montreal, mostly known for his implication with the Mannish BMX crew; from producing a full length video with them among many other video projects.
We’re heading to Nanaimo for a jam-packed weekend of shredding with Reece Wallace, and the locals. The boys take us to a secret swimming hole for some cliff jumping, before an evening session at the Stevie Smith Bikepark. The next day we spend the day riding fast and flowy trails on Mt Tzouhalem in the summer heat. To top it all off, we crash Reece’s plane and have an insane session at one of the best dirt jump spots on Vancouver Island. You’re gunna need ALL of your bikes to take full advantage of this weekend!
The World Cup was just around the corner so it was desperate times. Having only riden the Downhill bike once since lockdown I thought the more time on the bike the better. So off to the local enduro we went.
So fun seeing how big the local scene is. Huge verity of riders big and small. So good to see how big the MTB scene has grown over the years
