USA Cycling today announced its five-man team for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in St. Wendel, Germany. While the national champion, Todd Wells, declined his automatic nomination in order to focus on the upcoming mountain bike season, two other automatic qualifiers, Jeremy Powers and Tim Johnson (both Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld) accepted their selections.

While Ken Martin and Matt Adams were traveling in Namibia, Africa, a couple years ago, two of their hosts appeared with a digital camera and a photo printer. The men were photographing churchgoers in their Sunday best and selling the pictures on the spot.

Colorado Springs, Colo. (December 31, 2010) — The USA Cycling Development Foundation has recognized four student-athletes as recipients of the annual John Stenner and Joshua Kuck Memorial Scholarships.

The winners of the John Stenner Memorial Scholarships are Martha Buckley (Cambridge, MA) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Nitish Nag (Union City, CA) of the University of California at Berkeley. The winners of the Joshua Kuck Memorial Scholarship are Blake Anton (San Luis Obispo, Calif) of Cal Poly and Devon Simpson (Kirkland, Wash.) of the University of Washington.
