Jason Richardson was five years old when his big brother started racing BMX bikes in the late 1980s.
“I wanted to do it, too,” Richardson said. “I was terrible when I started. Terrible. But my brother was good, so I didn’t have to be.”
Through most of his BMX career, Richardson, who is now a licensed Psychiatrist and Doctor with an MBA and a business built around inspiring people, businesses and athletes to rise to their potential, never expected he would one day be a BMX legend. BMX – Stevie Churchill and Brandon Begin riding BMX at skate parks. Stevie Churchill and Brandon Begin have been out here in LA for just over 2 months and while they’ve spent most of their time filming for their upcoming OSS web videos, they’ve also managed to take in some of California’s many skate parks.

Starting as a product promo for a sponsor, this project took on a life of its own when the company and I parted ways at the end of last year. With the resulting sense of change, growth, and uncertainty, I felt the need to keep this project as personal and true to myself as possible. I couldn’t be happier with how everything took shape and I hope it’s as enjoyable to watch as it was to make. Filmed over the past fall and winter in North Carolina, Maryland, Texas, and Japan.
