Kenneth Tencio rides across skate parks, a gigantic dirt jump, and the countryside in Costa Rica. He also shows off his new pad, the perfect BMX rider’s haven, complete with a custom bowl in the backyard.
Raditudes is a behind the scenes look into some of BMX riding’s biggest moments and the lives of the pro riders that are pushing the sport forward. Featuring Tyler Fernengel, Drew Bezanson, Mike “Hucker” Clark, Corey Bohan, Sergio Layos, and Anthony Napolitan.
“It’s one of those idea that makes you smile when you come up with it, but also one of those idea that complicates your life because you will never give up on making it a reality. The idea was simple and challenging: take a rider on a trip to a city never knowingly visited by Pro riders, and announce the destination when we bring the rider to the airport; just for the pleasure of seeing his face when he learns the news. We chose France’s Kevin Kalkoff for this first episode, told him he was going on trip, and gave him nothing more than the date. To add some brotherhood we also invited his brother Thomas Benedetti to surprise him by joining the tour. Both discovered their destination to be SPLIT, in Croatia, a beautiful city on the Adriatic coast with many spots in the surroundings.” – Ben Bello
On Nov. 14, 1970, the first-ever competitive BMX race was held by Scot Breithaupt in Long Beach, California. Six years ago in November, 2010, Los Angeles County proclaimed an official “BMX Day” to commemorate the sport’s 40th anniversary. This year nearly 400 BMXers joined together as one on the streets of Hollywood and LA to celebrate BMX’s 46th anniversary. It was definitely a wild scene at times! But of course that’s to be expected when you get 100’s of BMXers riding together in the name of BMX. Check it out!
