…a few random things to point out today. First off, Travis Pastrana and Johnny Knoxville have teamed up for a new Jackass type of TV series that is going to be airing on MTV soon. Apparently, it features stunts from all genres of extreme sports and anything that falls in between. What does this have to do with BMX? Well, not a whole lot at the moment although there are a couple clips in the trailer below that show a BMXer by the name of, Hubert Kowland. Who is Hubert Kowland you ask? Maybe he just owns a BMX bike but I’ve never heard of him. I’m not sure if more BMX is scheduled to be involved in this, but judging from my experiences hanging out with Hoffman and Knoxville last summer, I’m sure Hoffman and others will be involved. I’m just wondering what kind of stunts will be going down, cause the trailer looks ridiculous! The Great Britain cycling team’s BMX star, Shanaze Reade, will aim to make history this year by taking three senior world titles in three different disciplines – track, BMX and mountain bike – as she rebuilds following the disappointment of three crashes in her event in Beijing.
“It’s something no one has ever done in one year and I want to experiment to see if I am versatile enough to do it,” said Reade. “Everything is pedalling, that’s what I always say.”

Jimmy Fitzpatrick has been a busy man working on his new project, The Brothers Fitzpatrick. So right now you might be asking yourself, “What is The Brothers Fitzpatrick?” Well, Jimmy and his two older brothers, Brian and Brent, got the crazy idea to pitch a new reality TV show to MTV. As if one Fitzpatrick wasn’t crazy enough, wait till you see what three of them can do! If MTV picks this show up, they better have plenty of medical staff on hand and ready to go. A MOBILE skate park has been bought to tour the area’s schools.
The portable facility is scheduled for a pitstop at Sir John Talbot’s Technology College during half-term, when it will be sited on the school’s tennis courts.
The skate ramps are open to children aged from seven and all sessions are free.
Children can take their own skateboard or they can borrow one. The ramps are also suitable for BMX bikes and inline skates…Â More info
