The second round of the 2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series got underway in Randaberg, Norway on Friday with Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase BMX) winning the men’s time trial superfinal and 16 American riders qualifying through to tomorrow’s main event. Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif./Haro Bikes) earned the second medal of the day for the U.S. with a bronze in the women’s time trial superfinal.
Fields, who won the opening round time trial superfinal two weeks ago in Chula Vista, posted a 32.134 on his second time trial superfinal run to edge Great Britain’s Lian Phillips by 2/10ths of a second.Â
