Nor Cal MasterCraft, Northern California’s exclusive MasterCraft boat dealership, is hosting its Grand Opening in Superstar style. Legendary pro wakeboarders Parks Bonifay, Shane Bonifay, golden-girl Emily Copeland, Reed Hansen, Jacob Valdez and the Hoffman sisters will be coming in from around the country to attend this Nor Cal celebration.

Rich Silva, Ride Shop Manager, says, “The influence of the riders that are coming to support the Nor Cal MasterCraft is unheard of for a grand opening. To find this group of talent at a pro tour is hard enough, but to see them in one place and available to meet and hang out with is ridiculously cool.”

Participants will compete for nearly $30,000 in prize money

Water Skiing and Wakeboarding will unite, under a new professional tournament format, at the inaugural Global Invitational taking place at Placid Waters in Allendale, Mich. on Saturday, June 27, 2009.

Professional water skiers, jumpers from across the country, along with the best regional wake boarders will take to the water to qualify for a chance to win nearly $30,000 in prize money.

The first-year event happens at Placid Waters (www.placidwaters.com), Michigan’s only site with three competition lakes lined up adjacent to one another. Each of the contestants that move on from the qualifying rounds will compete on the center “Global Championship” lake in front of the crowd as we narrow the field to the final round and crown the winners…  Details

bridgeChris Stout and the team of ‘Blazen’ have become the fastest crew to ever travel down the Hawkesbury River, winning the Bridge to Bridge one up race in a record shattering time of 35.14.

The race was run in conjunction with the Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club’s annual Bridge to Bridge powerboat classic.

With Noel Griffin and Bernie Simpson still bleary eyed after working on mechanical gremlins late into the night as well as getting up early to test, they drove the perfect race to take the win.

After big challenges by other competitors, including a huge run after bar point from Greg Houston’s ‘Stinga’, ‘Blazen’ led the whole way to take about a minute off ‘Hellbent’s record from last year.

Noel Griffin Racing secured a 1,2 result with the ‘Burnin’ crew of Gary Holzwart, Jason Bennet and Mark Weaver taking second, also under the old record…  Details
