The PWA’s finest females turned up the heat in a historic all-women’s slalom finale off the beautiful Cote d’Azur.
The first ever all-female PWA event proved to be a resounding success as a week of world-class competition was had by all in the world famous windsurfing town of Almanarre on the Mediterranean coast of France. The Tiree Wave Classic is now in its 24th year and remains the most impressive Wave event in the UK Calendar. Competitors from all over the UK will be battling against each other in the harshest conditions the UK has to offer, to win the ‘Tiree Wave Classic’ title. Furthermore, all sailors will be fighting hard to improve their chances of winning the coveted BWA UK Wave Championship.

Valerie Arrighetti claims the final event trophy of the year at the first ever all-women’s event in Almanarre, but it’s Karin Jaggi who takes home the 2010 world title on a perfect day on the Mediterranean coast.

Gorge windsurfers have spoken! The winners for the 2010 Gorge Windsurf Awards were announced at Sailworks’s end of season party on Sunday, September 5th.
The nominees were sent in from the windsurf community, and voted on by 164 participants.
