Hungarian NorthSails/Fanatic teamrider, András Horányi-Névy spent almost a month on the Greek island of Rhodes where he took part in the first ever Hungarian Wave Championship.

The judging system was similar to the PWA rules – the best 2 jumps and waverides count – and after successfully advancing from the first round and the semi-finals, he found himself in the final of the event. Bruce Kendall believes Olympic sailing formats need evolution to ensure it is attractive to the public and the media.

Yachting races are most often not exciting to watch or follow on live on TV or from the shore or even on the water, as they are too often too inactive and boring, not easy to understand or follow.
