World windsurfers are preparing for the 22nd NeilPryde Boracay International Funboard Cup, to be held between January 24-29 at Bulabog Beach, Philippines.
This is the longest running international sporting event for windsurfing and kiteboarding in Asia. In 2010, it was voted by CNNgo.com “Top 52 Weekend Event Destination in the World”.

Richard Langford, the man who boosted windsurfing’s recognition as an official sport in the UK, has been awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the Elizabeth II, the British Queen.
The 63-year-old sailor has been chairman of the Royal Yachting Association since 2007 and is preparing to help Team Great Britain in the 2012 London Olympics.

The Vietnam PWA Grand Slam has been confirmed as the first stop on the 2011 PWA World Tour. The event will take place in Mui Ne and boasts a €100,000 prize purse to be split between the Freestyle and Slalom disciplines.
