Red Bull Prince of Islands, held at Bodrum Ortakent, is one of the few geographical wind surf races organized in Turkey. As distinct from other races, the race was held on a natural course, rather than a course arranged according to competitors. This course only consisted of the “Çelebi Island†indicated in the middle of the sea. Moreover, as opposed to the Downwind slalom race, Orsa navigation requirement was one of the most challenging rules of the race.The race had very suitable wind conditions between 15 and 17 knots. At the race start time, the participants were asked to sail the highest possible number of tours around the course forming an eight between the referee boat and the “Çelebi Island†within one hour
