PWA Fuerteventura Grand Slam day 9 proved to be another largely frustrating day with sailors being held on standby for the entire day.
However their patience was eventually rewarded when the wind properly arrived at quarter past five, having teased the competitors for most of the day. Day two of the freestyle contest at the PWA Sotavento Fuerteventura World Cup saw the wind arrive much earlier than yesterday, which enabled the men and women’s single eliminations to be completed. The competition resumed shortly after 2pm and the level was sky high as the world’s best freestylers pushed each other to the limits, new moves were tried, some were landed and some failed.
