The official kiteboarding rules have been changed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). Several relevant changes are introduced. For example, there are three disciplines: Racing, Expression and Speed.

SurferToday has been following the controversy between the Northland Regional Council, in New Zealand, and the local kiteboarding community. The British Kitesurfing Association (BKSA) has released the calendar of events for the year 2011. The first competition will be held at Watergate. It will be a course and slalom race scheduled for 9th April.

The revenge came, after several lost events. Windsurfers have finally beated kitesurfers. It all happened in the Lord of the Wind Showdown, held in Los Barriles, Mexico. The fastest rider competed for $3500 in cash and absolute glory.
