Riccardo Leccese and Steph Bridge have been crowned the 2012 European Course Racing champions.
The US rider Adam Koch won the Open Europeans, with Leccese in second and Julien Kerneur in third. Bridge was on top of her game this week with Caroline Adrien and Katja Roose close behind.

After two days of racing at the Kite Racing Europeans, Adam Koch (USA, Mikes Lab/Ozone) and Steph Bridge (GBR, North) are leading the pack. In the men’s fleet, five races have been completed in the qualifying series, while the women’s fleet also run a total of five races in their single opening series.
Koch was able to win all of his qualifying races so far, with Riccardo Leccese (ITA, Mikes Lab/Ozone) constantly scoring high behind him and Julien Kerneur (FRA, RRD) in third with two bullets and constant podium finishes.

A group of North American kiteboarders is putting up the American Kiteboarding Association (AKA), a governing body for the sport in USA.
US kiteboarders have been riding on their own. There are several regional and state kiteboarding organizations, but the country has never set up an official governing body.
