Anne Quéméré has kicked off the kiteboat crossing of the South Pacific, from Peru to Papeete (French Polynesia).
The French sailor will travel alone and without assistance about 4,200 nautical miles (7778 km). Quéméré will be trying it for the second time, after she was forced to quit the journey in 2008, after spending 40 days at sea.

JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff International is the the Holy Grail of Skiff sailing. The Australian 18 Footers League Double Bay Sydney is all set to stage the event from Friday 4th to Sunday 13th March.
The iconic 18ft class was founded in 1891 by the sailing entrepreneur Mr Mark Foy. Mr Foy believed he could make sailing entertaining, much more so than yacht racing at that time.

America’s Cup – The ship carrying USA 17 passed underneath the Golden Gate Bridge at 0530 PST and berthed alongside San Francisco’s Pier 80 at 0650.
The timing of unloading the game-changing 115ft trimaran and its wingsail will be determined by prevailing wind conditions.
