Tasha Hunt, 33, and Koyne Watson, 43, were on board their 1987 Eliminator Scorpion jet boat on the South Thompson River on Saturday when they saw smoke. They called the fire department and then started doing loops, shooting water with a diverter to douse flames and prevent the fire from spreading quickly.

This is what happens when people don’t take care in their boat! I completely understand the enjoyment from clowning around. But, there is a time and a place. It is never okay to travel at this speed in narrow water, especially when you don’t know what’s ahead!
