After 8 months, 8 races and mind boggling 27,314 meters of descent, our story ends here in Finale Ligure, Italy. The last stop of the Enduro World Series is the place where the season long Championship will be decided; and the final time in the season the racer’s have to leave their mark on the History books. For some, this has been an epic season to remember, for others it will be a year to leave as far behind as possible, but whether the toll was paid in effort or in injury, the 2015 EWS season proved to every racer that no one rides for free.

“I was mostly the mobile jetski with camera but i hit the double up wake now and then. Crash happened when the ski before me lost its cover and started sinking, boat turned around to help and forgot to look for oncoming traffic. Im ok but the top hull of the TS is trashed.”
Standing above the cornice on Philipps, (at the far side of Paranoids inbounds at Mammoth Mountain) my plan was to ski down to the low part of the ridge, air into the chute perpendicular to the cornice and make two turns before riding through a 3 foot wide choke. At the start of my line, I could feel some instability and mistakenly dropped in parallel to the cornice. At that moment, the snow slid and I was immediately swept downhill. After a couple tumbles, I was able to stabilize myself on top and luckily went thought the choke point unharmed. Swimming to keep myself on top of the slide, I found myself stopped and only partially buried at a safe point about 300 feet down from the top of the chute. I was incredibly lucky to be unharmed and able to ride out the rest of my line!
