Hennessey Performance has announced plans for a second generation of its Venom GT supercar, aptly called the Venom GT2.
Unlike the million or so dollar original’s 1,244 hp turbocharged 7.0-liter V8, the engine in the new $1.25 million Venom GT2 will put out 1,500 hp, which company owner John Hennessey says computer models predict will be good for a top speed of 287 mph  … More
Ken Sirlin and his Porsche 356 Cabriolet have spent many fun-filled years together. Ken bought the car in 1985 after it had been fully restored from a bare shell. Since then, he’s driven it endless amounts of miles through Europe as a competitor in the famous Liege Rome Liege vintage car rally. Though he no longer races competetively, Ken would never part ways with his Porsche racing partner: he continues to drive the car daily.
A key cog in the Formula 1 traveling circus is the legion of rich folks that pour money into the sport and its ancillary activities. They must, of course, get to the race and parties somehow, and we ain’t talking about no rental Versa. Every race location is inundated with piles of exotic hardware, and Austin, Texas, is no different, with the parking lots at the Circuit of the Americas having no shortage of high-end metal to complement the F1 cars tearing up the track.
