virgin-brawnBrawn GP has confirmed a major sponsorship deal with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group this lunchtime in Melbourne.

Having been linked with a possible takeover of the Honda team over the winter, Virgin have agreed what will initially be a sponsorship deal but should lead to a broader relationship between the two companies. The car will be renamed the Virgin BGP 001, and will feature Virgin branding for the first time during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix.
