England’s Justin Wilson won the IndyCar Grand Prix of Watkins Glen on Sunday, bringing car owner Dale Coyne his first victory in the series after a quarter-century of frustration.
Coyne, a former IndyCar racer who often struggled to sustain a low-budget operation, finally saw one of his drivers take a checkered flag after 557 prior races that ended in frustration.

Bulgarian officials are set to meet with Bernie Ecclestone next week in the hope of securing a place on the 2011 Formula One calendar.
Bulgarian Motorcycling Federation president Bogdan Nikolov said that grand prix organising committee chief Rumen Petkov will meet with F1’s commercial rights controller at next weekend’s German Grand Prix.
Nikolov, who announced Bulgaria’s plans to host a Formula One race last December, was hopeful a contract could be signed.
He said the BMF had two projects for a circuit and were waiting to hear Ecclestone’s opinion. The track is likely to be near the northern town of Pleven… Details
