Formula 1 stakeholders have reached an agreement for grand prix cars to use a new type of ‘green’ engine from 2013.
The sport will switch from the current 2.4-litre V8s to 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engines with energy recovery systems and fuel restrictions.

In a recent interview with German media, Matthias Mueller has suggested Porsche won’t be entering Formula One any time soon, but says if Volkswagen was to take part in the championship, Porsche would be the segment of Volkswagen most suitable for the job.

IndyCar driver Sarah Fisher announced Monday that Ed Carpenter will drive No. 67 car next year so she can focus on running the race team.
Sarah Fisher Racing plans to enter at least nine IndyCar Series races next season with sponsorship from Dollar General. Included on that schedule is the Oct. 2 race at Kentucky Speedway where Fisher holds the distinction of being the fastest qualifier ever.
