Janet Guthrie is the first woman to qualify and compete in the Indy 500 and Daytona 500. Guthrie made the move from engineer to racecar driver in 1963 when her attempt to become one of the first scientist-astronauts was rejected. Guthrie faced backlash in the racing community but she didn’t let it stop her from reaching her goal. Guthrie has more than 47 races under her belt and has been inducted into the Motorsports and Sports Car Club of America Hall of Fame. Eleven thousand horsepower. Let that sink in for a moment: 11,000. But that’s just an approximate calculation for this NHRA Top Fuel monster. It could be more, but there’s no dynamometer on earth that can measure the gut-wrenching, ear-splitting, asphalt-shredding power of a top fuel dragster engine.
These engines are constantly pulled apart and put back together to assure optimal performance on the drag strip. Most teams can completely disassemble and reassemble the engines in less than an hour. But who has an hour to watch an engine rebuild?

I filmed the ultra rare 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion (street-legal) being unleashed on an airstrip during the Supercar Owners Circle 2018 at Ambri airport, Switzerland. Only 25 where made world wide! It has a 536bhp 3.2 liter, water-cooled twin turbo flat-six engine. Video shows the 911 GT1 starting up, driving on the streets and doing some pulls on an empty runway!
